Confidence goes a really long way!

Confidence is key to so many things in life. It is attractive, assuring, and inspiring.

Poor clothing choices can shut doors, but usually they just make getting through the door a lot harder. Sometimes its because what we are wearing doesn’t send the right message, but sometimes its actually the fact that we’re not comfortable, or we are feeling insecure about what we look like, and that distracts us to the point of undermining our confidence.

When you understand the colours and style of clothes that suit you, and you put the right amount of thought into choosing what to wear each day, you can’t help but feel more confident.

Think about the following 10 areas to make sure that you are dressed for success!

1. Comfort - do your clothes fit? can you breathe, relax, and be yourself?

2. Temperature - are you going to get hot or cold today? Do you need layers?

3. Season - what are the clothes of the season? Wearing a ski jacket in the summer or shorts in winter is going to draw attention. Take note of what is expected, or make sure you’re happy standing out from the crowd!

4. Activity - how much moving around are you going to do? How comfortable are your shoes? How breathable are your clothes?

5. Occasion - what are the rules of the occasion? Swimwear in the office is going to cause a stir!

6. Role - what is your ‘role’? Overdressed isn’t always best (Trying wearing a wedding dress to a wedding when you’re an invited guest.)

7. Colours - are you wearing colours that make you look healthy and attractive?

8. Style - are you wearing shapes and cuts that flatter you?

9. People - are you trying to impress anyone, or to put anyone at ease?

10. Mood - what do you feel like wearing today?! At the end of the day, its up to you! Be bold, and dare to be yourself!
